China has been producing plastic pipes since the 1970s, and it has been promoted and applied in engineering construction since the early 1980s. By the end of 1999, there were more than 2,000 plastic pipe production lines nationwide, of which about 15% were imported. In 1999, the production capacity of various plastic pipes in China has reached 1.65 million tons, and the actual output is about 1 million tons. The development of plastic pipes is mainly based on UPVC pipes and PE pipes, and the development of new composite and modified plastic pipes. In 2010, the main products of plastic pipes should meet the market requirements, the market products are complete, the quality, grade and supporting level have been significantly improved, and the overall level is close to the international advanced level. In the new construction, reconstruction and expansion projects in the country, 80% of the building drainage pipes are made of plastic pipes; 80% of the building water supply, hot water supply and heating pipes are made of plastic pipes; 90% of the wire sheathing pipes are made of plastic pipes; 70% of the building rainwater drainage pipes are used. Plastic pipes are used; 70% of urban water supply pipes (below DN400Inm) use plastic pipes, 70% of village water supply pipes use plastic pipes; 50% of urban drainage pipes use plastic pipes; 60% of urban gas pipes (medium and low-pressure pipes) use plastic pipes.
